Countries across Asia-Pacific are giving more attention to mental illness, but much remains to be done to achieve the ideal of community-based care and integration, according to Mental Health and Integration, a study published on October 10th, 2016 by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). The report, sponsored by Janssen Asia Pacific, compares and ranks the level of effort of 15 countries and territories across the Asia Pacific region in implementing effective mental health policies, and looks at the services and programs available to assist people living with mental illness integrate more successfully into society.
