The APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health Data Standardization Working Group is in preparations to convene a Round Table Meeting on the topic of Data Standardization and Mental Health. The meeting, made possible through the support of the Philippines Ministry of Health as Co-Lead for the focus area, supports goals set out in the APEC Roadmap for Mental Wellness 2020 and will develop and initiate the Focus Area's next steps for action.
Goals of the meeting include to:
- support the exchange of innovative programs and evidence- and practice-based initiatives related to between APEC economies;
- share opportunities for new engagements and collaborations;
- develop an approach to data standardization for an implementation design in the Digital Hub; and
- establish linkages with the other focus area Working Groups of the APEC digital hub for mental health. The Round Table Meeting will include core Hub partners, leaders of the APEC Fora, senior officials of the Department of Health of the Philippines, and leaders from the international mental health community and industry.
Members of the international community working in the areas of health and mental health data collection and standardization, such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), will participate as expert speakers.
