Korea: National Centre for Mental Health

The National Centre for Mental Health's mission is for the happiness of people through mental health improvement. Their vision is to establish a new standard of mental health, through evidence based research for mental health improvement, analysing new systems for public mental health, and promoting community based medical care. The National Centre for Mental Health's Institute of Mental Health has begun to raise the standard of mental health research through applied research and development and for the promotion of national mental health field. The Institute's principles include: promoting national mental health research and development (R & D); supporting evidence-based national mental health promotion; strengthening it's role as a central hub for national mental health research and planning and management; and, addressing mental illness through internal research and R & D capacity building.
